- To evaluate your application for employment (where you have applied for a role);
- To onboard and manage relationships with dealers, EPCs, partners, and suppliers;
- To improve our products, services, Website, and customer experience;
- To comply with legal, regulatory, accounting, tax, and reporting obligations;
- To prevent, investigate, and respond to fraud, security threats, and unlawful activity;
- To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;

We engage third parties to provide services on our behalf — including cloud hosting, customer relationship management, email and communication, payment processing, shipping and logistics, installation contractors, accounting, and legal advisors. These third parties process Personal Data on our instructions, under appropriate contractual safeguards, and only as necessary to perform the relevant service.

As Electres is a business unit of tecHindustan Solutions Private Limited, your Personal Data may be accessed and processed by other functions within tecHindustan (such as HR, IT, Finance, Legal) that provide shared services to the Electres business unit.

We may share Personal Data with our authorized dealers, EPCs, installers, and service partners where necessary to fulfill your purchase, installation, or service request — with your consent or as required to perform our contract with you.

In limited cases, technical information (without unnecessary personal identifiers) about installations may be shared with our component suppliers for warranty processing, technical investigation, or product improvement.

We retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including:
- Customer data: for the duration of the customer relationship plus the period required to enforce or respond to warranty, service, regulatory, tax, accounting, and legal obligations — typically 8 years after the end of the warranty period.
- Prospective customer data: typically up to 3 years from last interaction, after which we will delete or anonymize unless an active relationship continues.
- Job applicant data: typically up to 1 year from the date of the application, after which we will delete unless you have consented to longer retention for future consideration.
- Partner and supplier data: for the duration of the engagement plus 8 years.
- Website analytics data: generally up to 26 months.
We may retain Personal Data for longer periods where required by law (such as for tax, accounting, or regulatory compliance), or where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

- Right to nominate — to nominate another individual who shall exercise these rights in the event of your death or incapacity;
- Right to withdraw consent — to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal, and may affect our ability to provide certain products and services to you.

We will respond to your request within the timelines required by applicable law (typically 30 days, extendable in limited circumstances).
We may need to verify your identity before processing your request, to protect your data from unauthorized access.
10. Security
We implement reasonable security safeguards designed to protect Personal Data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we process.
However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. In the event of a Personal Data breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected individuals as required under the DPDP Act.

12. Children’s Data
