Warranty Policy

Electres (a business unit of tecHindustan Solutions Private Limited) stands behind its products. This page provides an overview of our warranty approach. The detailed warranty terms applicable to your specific product purchase will be set out in the Warranty Certificate issued with your product, and in any Sales Agreement signed between Electres and the purchaser. In case of any inconsistency, the Warranty Certificate and Sales Agreement prevail.

How Electres warranty works

Each Electres battery energy storage product is sold with a written warranty that covers:

  • Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
  • Cell capacity retention over the warranty period, subject to defined operating conditions
  • Functional performance of the integrated battery management, power conversion, and control systems supplied with the product

The warranty length, capacity guarantee, and specific terms vary by product line and are summarized below.

What is covered

Subject to the detailed Warranty Certificate, Electres will (at our option) repair, replace, or refund the price of a defective product or component during the warranty period, provided:

  • The product was purchased from Electres or an authorized Electres dealer or partner;
  • The product has been installed by an Electres-authorized installer (or, where customer installation is permitted, in accordance with the published installation manual);
  • The product has been operated within the specifications stated in the product datasheet and Warranty Certificate;
  • The defect has been reported to Electres in writing within the warranty period and within a reasonable time after discovery.

What is not covered

The warranty does not cover damage, defect, or failure arising from:

  • Improper installation, configuration, modification, repair, or maintenance by any person not authorized by Electres;
  • Use outside the specified operating conditions (including voltage, current, temperature, altitude, humidity, or cycling beyond rated limits);
  • External electrical events — including grid surges, lightning, brownouts, or voltage instability not within the product’s specified tolerance;
  • Damage during transportation, storage, or handling not performed by Electres or its authorized partners;
  • Physical damage, accident, misuse, abuse, vandalism, or willful damage;
  • Force majeure events, including but not limited to fire (other than from a defect in the product), flood, earthquake, war, riot, terrorism, or other natural or man-made disasters;
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functional performance;
  • Routine maintenance, calibration, or consumables (where applicable);
  • Use of incompatible or unauthorized accessories, batteries, inverters, or third-party components;
  • Removal, alteration, or defacement of product serial numbers, labels, or markings;
  • Continued use of the product after a defect has been identified, where continued use would aggravate the damage.
